What shall I do before I can take possession of the home

Hi, Can anyone help and give me some idea what I shall do? I just purchased a home from trustee sale in California. The previous owner already moved out, but his furniture are still there. Can I just have a lock smith rekey the lock and take possession of the home?

Please let me know. Thank you.
