Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors Or Bankruptcy

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

I had a small business that closed in Sept 08. I currently have about $45k in outstanding credit card debt. Would bankruptcy be better than Assignment for the benefit of creditors?
