business bankruptcy

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Rhode Island

We are a small business in Rhode Island. We have a customer in Canada who owes us money and we just found out that they have declared bankruptcy and gone out of business. Do we have any options for getting all or some of the money that they owe us?

Please note that only questions of US law are answered here. If the company is in Canada and filing bankruptcy under Canadian law, then Canadian, not US, bankruptcy law applies. You need to ask an attorney familiar with Canadian bankruptcy law.
