In respect to automaker GM's 2009 chapter 11 bankruptcy and subsequent reorganization, I was just curious if contracts created before the corporation's bankruptcy would still be valid. In the late '90s, GM donated electric vehicles to various engineering schools across the country with the proviso that they keep them, use them only for research, and not drive them on public roads. By the turn of the new century, most schools had abandoned the cars. So, if the contracts have become null and void, which I am hoping, I want to try purchasing one of these vehicles from a school, to use for a research project. Thanks, in advance, for any help. I've looked online, but haven't been able to find anything that relates to this rather odd situation.
