Promisary Note

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? texas
If a company file bankruptsy are they still liable to pay a promisary note ?

You need to find out which federal court the bankruptcy was filed in and file a claim with the bankruptcy trustee. You are an eligible creditor but whether you get paid depends on how much money they are able to collect.
