I am a manager of a small business. I signed a contract with an advertising firm for some magazine ads. Unfortunately due to the present economic circumstances funds are not available to complete payment on this contract. The owner of the company I work for has told me not to pay the advertising company. I recently received a letter threatening to be sued if I do not pay $5260.00 immediately. Can I be held personally liable since I was the one who signed the contract? Or will the business I work for be responsible?
Thank you.
