What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

I'm in the process of possibly buying into a medical practice. I'm interested in knowing up to what percent can I buy into the practice, before my ex wife would have access to the financials of the entire business.

Thank you.

And the lawyer you consulted before you went into this said...?

I'm not being facetious or flippant; you need professional help for this undertaking.

I'm in the process of getting this information. I just thought I'd post the question here while I wait. I'm not trying to hide my portion of anything, it's just that the owner is not willing to have her private information for all to see which is understandable. At this point I can't afford to buy in more then 10-15 percent as is. I was just curious.
