What is the name of your state? Washington.

Am I obligated by the terms and conditions of a Newspaper advertising contract that the previous owner of my retail business signed. I just bought name, plus goodwill.

My response:

Doesn't say much for the "good will," now does it . . .

Anyway, it all depends upon the terms and conditions of the written contract. For all I know, you may have purchased a business with all of its assets and obligations. But, you never stated the terms of the contract.
