What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Utah

I rent a small business location (barber shop) month-to-month from the property owner. I recently "sub-leased" my shop for one year to another party. Is this contract legal, since I myself do not have a "lease" with the property owner?

No one can answer without actually reviewing YOUR lease and the REAL lease. However, a GENERAL answer is that your sub-lease is likely NOT valid.
