What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

I am in a band and three months ago we had three of our members leave. We all put in money for a van and trailer that we could tour in over a year ago and now that they quit they want what they put in back. We agreed that no one would be compensated for money they had put in at anytime but they are pushing for their share.
We have paperwork showing one of our members as the legal owner of the vehicles and we have no contract or anything about money being issued out at the termination or the disbanding of members.

Do they get their money? Or can they sue for their money?

It depends...
Or can they sue for their money?
Yes, anybody can sue anybody at any time.

What does it depend on?
If you don't have it in writing, then it depends on who the judge believes. If you DO have it in writing, then it would depend on that document.

However, we are NOT privy to all of the documentation that you (or they) may (or may not) have. There is no way we could answer this.
