What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AZ

I just finished a business sale, and the escrow/title company wired me the settlement money but forgot to take out the commision due the business broker that brokered the deal. What can I do in a situation like this. am I still obligated to pay or is now the escrow's problem or are there other routes to go? The title company is now calling/emailing me for the money and admitting they "forgot" to take it out.

You are bound by the terms of your contract. Pay the money due. I'm sure you'd be screaming about being shorted, if they hadn't paid you what was due.

eta.. I can't believe you even had to ask:rolleyes:
