What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Connecticut

I don't know the first thing about law. But let me explain our situation. Our school district ordered at least a couple hundred Gateway E-2600S Machines about 3 years ago now. We purchased 5 year warranties for these machines. Last year, gateway contracted support for the E-2600S's (including warranty coverage) to MPC corporation, which shortly (between 6 months and 1 year) thereafter went bankrupt and will no longer honor the warranties.

Since we ordered the machines, along with their warranties from GATEWAY, not MPC, shouldn't they therefore be responsible for honoring them?

Seems like we were knowingly sold duds since ALL of our e2600s machines are crashing on us now.

PS. I've been told many other school districts who ordered the same machines have had the same issue.

**A: the answer is yes and there may be a class action claim.
