Hi,

As claimant, we got (NYC) commercial claim court judgement for a contract debt in amount of $5000.
Can we put a lean on the property if the defendant does not pay the judgement debt?

Thank you
Eric

On the back of your Notice of Judgment should be a list of ways you can collect on your judgment.

Yes, it is possible that you could put a lien on property or force the sale of property owned by the judgment debtor.

Perhaps you want to consider hiring an enforcement officer to help you with your collection?

Here is a link to the New York Civil Court on how to collect on your judgment:

Good luck.
