What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? mo
I have a small nonprofit. We own our own building. We have rented out space to other companies and indiviuals. They have been allowed to use or docks and our fax machine. We do have a lease agreement.
One of the companies/individuals had materials shipped from our dock that now the shipper is trying to get payment for.
They have contacted and threatened us with a suit we do not pay. I have a copy of the BOL. Noone from our company has signed it. (actually noone signed at all) but The persons name in the attn to section when it was faxes is not anyone associated with our company.

WHat rights do we have in this case. We had nothing to do with the shipment except it was picked up at our facility.
PLease help, we cant afford these kinds of bills!
