I signed a personal guarantee for four credit cards over a year ago, is there any legal way to remove myself as the guarantor from these credit cards, all cards are in good standings. If I call them to ask to be removed, what is the correct answer or statement to give to the creditors?

Closing the accounts is most likey your only option. I don't know a lender in our financial system today who would even consider removing a personal guarantee.
