What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
I purchased 2 franchises from a FLA based franchisor 6 years ago.
The franchisor has not supported our operation at all except always asking for their royalties and threatening to terminate the agreement.
Over the past 6 months the business is basically evaporated and the franchisor is now threatenting to terminate. No royalties have been paid over the past 6 mos due to no income!
Franchisor has a history of terminating franchisees and re-selling the territory.
Franchisor does not have any clients or marketing other than a supposed paint terbine system which can be easily bought from the manufacturer.
Is it worthwhile to sue franchisor for back royalty payments?
Thanks to advise

Why do you think you have a case to get royalties you paid back from the franchisor? Shouldn't it be the other way around...shouldn't he be suing you .

Then again...maybe I'm just having a long day and seem a bit confused.
