What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Connecticut
I work for a retailer who wishes to amend their store credit policy. Presently if you meet the requirements for a refund/return you have the option to receive cash or store credit. The store credits have no expiration date.
The company wishes to implement an expiration date due to a large number of store credits that are greater than 1 year old. Many as are almost 5 years old.
As far as I can tell the only thing we need to do is post the policy in a visible location for clients to see, such as on receipts and in our physical store.
