What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nebraska

We built a garage for a lady. She signed the contract and agreed that 50% was due at the time of signing and the remainder is due when the job was complete. Well she won't pay. Won't answer our calls or call us back when we leave messages. I just went and filed a lien on her garage. Now what do we do? What legal obligations did that lien give us?

well, the first questions in my mind is;

do you have a contractors license?

were appropriate permits secured prior to building?

what does the contract state concerning terms of payment?

and, what is her reasoning for not paying?
