I am a member of an business LLC which has signed contracts with another company. I signed these contracts as a member of the LLC only and not personally.

My question is: I would like to start up a new, seperate but similar LLC and conduct business as I wish without any restrictions that the current LLC has with the contracts. Can I legally be a member of both LLC's and abide by the contracts in one, but do business without consideration of the contracts in the other? Or would the contracts be tied to me personally through both companies?

Thank You
