Question

Aftersale Liabilty

What is the name of your state?Hi, heres a good question. My daughter sold her home to a woman who did not have the funds to pay for it. A realtor bought the home from my daughter and is financing it for the woman. When my daughter bought the home 3 yrs ago she had a clean appraisal of the property. The day before the woman took possession we had 8 inches of rain. She called and raced over to check the basement. There was no water. She had never hired a inspector prior to the sale, neither did the realtor. Now months later she is suing my daughter for water damage in the basement, (she ripped apart the basement after moving in to make way for a daycare). Does my daughter have any liabilty in this? If there was never a inspection how can she sue? There was never any water problem when my daughter lived there. Input greatly appreciated.

**A: are you in the state of Hawaii? If so, there are no basements in Hawaii right?
Otherwise there would be fish and other sea creatures living in your home getting free rent.
