amendment to offer to purchase

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? wi im a seller that signed offer to purchase went on vacation and came back to a leaking pond and now buyer gave a amendment offer to purchase to fix decrative pond i found out that it would cost 5200.00 I cant aford this and want to stay in my house i did not sign the amendment can i get out of this situation without geting sued. thank you.

Depends what the original contract said. You don't necessarily have to agree to any amendments unless that is provided for in the contract.
