In contract on house in Chincoteague VA. I'm wondering if this should have been disclosed in purchase contract.

Noted on my home inspection, kitchen floor shows severe deterioration below sink (we found bore holes in floor and white powder under sink after removing box covering damaged area), and patch on floor below refrigerator (an unremovable board during inspection). I mentioned damage underneath sink, and board possible past termite damage to sellers realtor. The sellers told her the board is not affixed to floor, but I never learned what created floor damage. Be it as it is, either the sellers, or the real estate agent must have known of these holes and never disclosed it (or the problem that created it). Isn't this required by law to disclose?

This information went the wayside (never brought it to my lawyer's attention) after learning a day later about the cesspool situation (not enough property to upgrade to septic tank), deciding to break contract which now sellers might force me to buy.
