What is the name of your state?Quebec, Canada:
I sold my house in May 2002. The buyer had an inspector come to the house to make sure the house was in good buying condition, ie foundation, furnace, a/c, oil stove fireplace. He had us run the furnace, the a/c, light the oil stove to make sure all was in working order.. Everything was good and the buyer proceded with the purchase of our home. It is now Nov.2004, and the buyer called me to report that the oil stove needs to be repaired and wants me to pay for it. Being near 17 months since he has lived in the house...Am I responsible to pay for this repair?? I am aware that I may have been responsible during the first year, if it was a hidden defect. It was defnately not defectivce as we used it for a year and this will be the 2nd winter they are in the house. |

I was not informed of this. Please, keep those French people away from me. |
