buying/divorce tennessee i have been married for 2 months.i placed 2000 earnest money on a house.the sellers accepted the offer, agreed to make repairs (and completed these) and have moved out of the house.i put up 60000$ for financing. since our marriage, my hus. has been abusive and i am filing for divorce. on friday there was the closing-my hus. refused to come in to sign.the real estate agent said i should follow through with my part to show good faith-which i did. if i put a hold on my cashier's check can i be sued for anything more than the agent's commission? can i take back my signature since he has not signed? can the buyers sue me for breach of contract? |
