Buying a home... NEED advice

What is the name of your state? Virginia

We are currently trying to buy our first home. We have our lender and a title company doing a lot of the paper work.. Our first closing date was to be May 30th. That didnt happen. We were told they needed more paper work. so We had faxed over MORE paper work. Since then we have had 4 different dates of closing.. Here it is the END of June and still cant get a closing date.

A few days ago we were given a closing date and time to close. Which was 6.23.03 at 5pm. Then our lender explains to us that they are still waiting for more paper work.. WEll they finally get all the paper work and clear a closing date of Today (6.25.03) At noon. Our lender calls with our Closing cost price. ew then get a call back saying that we will not be closing at noon from the title complany.. They told us that the lender NOW needs a copy of the ID from each of the sellers from the other house. I feel like We are being tossed around as a little game to see how much we can actually take.. I am very frustated with all of this.. According to the Title company they have NEVER heard a lender needing a copy of the sellers ID to clear a closing.. This is the firs time they have ever seen that done. And are NOT sure at all why they are doing it..

What can I do??? It seems that if I try to call the lender I never get an answer. NOR do I get a call back. I need some help.. I need it Fast. Our lease is up for us.. We are still here.. BUT OUr landlord says we have to be OUT by this weekend. YET we still do NOT have this house. I dont know what else to do. Someone PLEASE help me!!

IF they knew they needed ALL that paper work why didnt they ask for all of it A MONTH ago when we were suppose to close? Im sooo lost and soo frustrated...

Welcome to the exciting world of home purchasing!!!
Though what you are describing does sound a little much, you have to consider that, depending on your credit history, is taking what may be a HUGE risk. And they have every right to establish underwriting rules and procedures to protect themselves and their investors.

So, take a breather.... the alternative if they decide to not fund the loan due to some 'issue' could be far worse.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Good golly Miss Holly.
Calm down and take slow deep cleansing breaths.
Now lie down on this couch and close your eyes.
