Can my name be put on a title of a new home after a forclosure? What is the name of your state? Michigan this is my situation. I am recently divorced . I lost my house to foreclosure in 2003. My ex husband has filed bankruptcy and has left me with alot of debts which I am working hard to pay off. Now however, I have met a wonderful man and we want to purchase a house together. My name will not be on the mortgage but we want it put my name on the title. I do not now yet wetaher or not there will be a defficency judgement or it will be forgiven. Can my name be put on the title without them coming after the new house and new life i am working hard to recreate. thanks in advance Becky |

| "Can my name be put on the title without them coming after the new house and new life i am working hard to recreate." *** First, I doubt that a lender would allow a person to get a mortgage without the names of ALL persons on the title. And even if they did, your name on the title would make the property subject to claims by any of your creditors with a judgment against you.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! Not a mortgage on the housethere is technically no mortgage on the house my name will be on the tittle for. the money is coming from a home equity of another house. This house will not have any money owed on it. Does this make a difference? |

| Two thoughts 1. Get a loan on the house, pay off your creditors. Then pay off the house. 2. Have that "Wonderful man" buy the house and put it in his name. pay off your debts. then have your name added to the title. These are really your only two options if you are going to buy the house, and not have your creditors be able to lean it. ![]() |
