What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

We ask the seller to cancel the contract but the money for the buyer (we signed the form, she has it). She sent us another release but asking the earnest money. We are stuck and can not sign a new contract. The seller put the house back on market and they said they can sell it.
We want to see if it would be possible to sign a new document that release both part of the contract but keep the dispute for the money.
Thanks
