Cash For Keys

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CALIFORNIA

I am in the final stages stages of finalizing a short sale. If at the end of escrow and I am unable to find a new place to leave can I negotiate with new owner in allowing me additional time or can I negotiate with them for Cash for Keys?
