Closing Dilema What is the name of your state? PA (seller in Utah)
My purchase was to close on the 24th of July, agreed in writing to move it to that date from the 30th. I needed to be away on business on the 30th. On the 23rd I got a call telling me they were reverting to the 30th. The contractor had not completed a repair that was necessary. I had arranged for all utilities, insurance, furniture etc to be in place on the 24th. I had booked the time away from work as vacation to do the closing and get things in order before leaving on business. I now have no place to live and a nightmare with these utility companies and furniture delivery. I now must re-arrange important business to be there on the 30th. Lack of diligence on their part (relocation company is the seller) is the reason the repairs are not completed. I told my agent to offer an escrow account completion option and save them harmless except for the repairs agreed and quoted. They refused. I'm suing if I have a case. What do you think. |
