Common name in title searchWhat is the name of your state?NJ ![]() The seller has a very common first AND last name - something like David Smith. The search showed cleared when using the middle initial, but 55 pages of results when using first and last name together. How the heck can I be sure that everything is ok. The seller way back refused to disclose his ss number to be entered on the r/e sales contract and 15 years ago left the state where the home for sale is located. Am I being paranoid!!! |

Am I being paranoid!!! **A: the Seller must disclose his SS# for tax purposes so get it. Also have the Seller fill out a Statement of Aliases. (Listing of all names he has used past and present ie. David Smith, David J. Smith, David John Smith, D. Smith, DJ Smith, D.J. Smith etc.) Hire an attorney to help you. Last edited by HomeGuru; 11-07-2002 at 08:15 PM. |
