Condo I rent is sold (NJ)

The condo I rent is sold. I received a notice that I had to vacate the premises on February 28th. I recently purchased a house, but the closing date is March 28th. I don't see the sense it putting everything in storage for a month and trying to find a place to live for that period of time. The new owners cannot throw us into the street can they?
