Exclamation

contingency question

What is the name of your state? Wisconsin

When we signed our waiver of contingency which states "any financing contingency & deck enclosure contingency" ONLY and does not specifically include the "Sale of Buyer's Property contingency, do we still have the contingency of the sale of our home?? It is not a specific financing contingency and is in another part of the contract. It is NOT specifically addressed in our waiver.

An exact representation of the applicable portions and an exact representation of the facts are required to give a response.

If there is a sale contingency in the contract, and the wording of the waiver is as you say, it sounds like that contingency is still in effect. You'll need to get another waiver that either waives ALL contingencies or the specific ones you are concerned about.

contingency

Ron..or anyone else.
Should we hire an attorney since the the agent involved is both the seller and buyer's agent and obviously represents the seller in the closing of the house. We would like to make sure the "sale of buyer's property"contingency is still in place and we know we will not get a staight answer from the agent, because she stands to lose comission (or have it postponed).
