Contract to Sell a houseWhat is the name of your state? California. If you have signed a contract with a real estate agent to sell your home, and it clearly says "irrevocable agreement," can you, on the day the contract was to start, still cancel it? The contract was dated February 27, 2008. We decided the night of February 26 not to sell, therefore not able to reach them until the morning of February 27. A message was left before 7:30am on the 27th regarding cancelling the contract. |

| It just means you cannot sell it through another agent. Nobody can force you to accept any offers. |

| No, but they can force the seller to pay the commission if the broker brought a full-price cash offer to the table and they didn't accept. |

| Also... One thing you may be allowed to do is change the list price. For example, raise it by 50k. |
