Customary Listing period with Agent

What is the name of your state? CA
agent wrote the listing period as 3/22/04 - 9/22/04. what is customary? do we have a choice?

**A: 6 months to onw year is ok, depending upon the market in your area.
You do have a choice and can dictate a shorter or longer time period. It's your property, not theirs.
