Question

we bought a home in kansas almost a year ago (august). in december the roof in our living room leaked. this was a disclosed issue on the contract that was fixed. we contacted the seller's real estate agent who gave us the name of the person who fixed the problem. we called him and he came to fix the roof. however the roof has continued to leak (4 times now). after the repair person came out the last time, he said that he did not feel as if he could help us with this problem. what is our recourse? do we have an argument that this was a disclosed problem that was not fixed? would the previous owner's insurance still cover this issue? does the previous owner have any liability. we don't want to hassel them, yet we want this fixed. any advice is greatly appreciated.

This is your problem now.
The condition was disclosed by the Seller and you did not put a contingency in the contract to get a copy of the invoice/letter confirming that the work was done by a licensed roofer, a warranty given and the work inspected.
Your fight is now with this incompetent roofer. If you had a real estate agent, call the agent and ask why?
