dont knowWhat is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?texas. I am trying to buy my mothers home from her. I own the house beside hers, I am also trying to refinance this into on note . she will be selling her house to me then I will be renting my home to her. The title insurance company that issued the title insurance when she origanaly purchused the home will not sign off on this because she will be living on the property. Does this make sense? |

| RE Broker in Kansas: Questions: Does your mother currently have a mortgage? What type of financing (FHA, Conv.)? Do you currently have a mortgage? What type of financing (FHA, Conv.)? What were the title company's EXACT reasons for their denial? |

| texas My mother has a motgage with FHA. I have a conventional mortgage. I was just told by my banker that they were having problems getting the title insurance company to sign off on it because she would be living on the property , but she would be living in my home that has never been in her name. |

| Check your state statutes on "Adjacent Property." There is a RE broker from TX that has been responding to some of the post. He may know, or where to get the right answers. Look at some of the other threads on this page.....he has responded to a few. Then send him a Private Message. But I "think" that there are "laws" about owning adjacent property and requirements if financing is involved. If the Broker from TX doesn't respond then do a search on TX Legislation Web Site on "adjacent property" and "owning adjacent property." |
