AT CLOSING , WHERE WE WERE THE SELLERS, THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE WATER QUALITY(CONTAMINATION) IN THE WELL. ALSO THE BOILER WAS TURNED OFF BY MY ONE OF OUR CONTRACTORS. WE LEFT THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN ESCROW TO ENSURE THE BOILER WAS IN WORKING CONDITION AND THAT A TEST WOULD SHOW THAT THE WATER WAS BACTERIA FREE AFTER BEING TREATED. BOTH THESE CONDITIONS WERE MET . OUR LAWYER NOW TELLS US THAT THE BUYERS ARE STATING THAT WE STARTED REPLACING THE WELL AND LEFT IT UNFINISHED, WHICH IS NOT TRUE. OUR LAWYER WILL NOT RELEASE THE ESCROW MONEY STATING WE NEED TO GO TO COURT TO GET IT BACK. IS THIS TRUE? WE LIVE IN LONG ISLAND ,NY.
