escrow

i am in pa, and i refinanced my house last dec. it turns out that the escrow is wrong, there is no true signed copy of my HUD1, and my lender, the title co. and the mortgage servicing co. are all blaming each other. in addition, the servicing co said that it was a computer error, and that the escrow never existed! where did it go?! I don't know where to start....help!

the servicer is saying that the escrow accout began with a zero balance....accouding to the paperwork I have and they have, it should have had over 1000.00. They are saying that it just existed on paper, and that the money never went anywhere. I spoke with someone in the tax dept. of the servicer, and she agreed w/me that the money should have gone somewhere! Then she told me that there is no true signed copy of my HUD1. This has been going on since last april....these people won't call me back, and keep passing the buck. The title co. blames the lender, the lender blames a computer error. i don't care whose fault it is, i just want the $$ back in the escrow account. Is the loan valid without the HUD1? There was confusion at closing, with muck paperwork being incorrect, and revisions were made...lots of sneaky stuff corrected before i signed. do i need a lawyer, and what legwork can i do on my own, as i don't have much money for a retainer. thanks
