family emergency - getting out of a contract

I've made an offer on a house that was accepted by the seller who is currently working with a relocation company. The offer was accepted verbally and via e-mail to realtor who forward the message to me. I have received the contract which has additional addendums to the the purchase agreement. I have not seen these addendums before until now.

Due to unexpected circumstances that came up which could very possibly impact my financial state, I am wonder if it's possible to back out of the contract or am I bound to go through with the purchasing process? I have not signed the contract nor have I given a deposit.
