family home

What is the name of your state? md

My husband and I are attempting to purchase the home we have lived in for 12 years. The home is split (on the deed) b/wn 4 siblings one being my husband. One sibling has given her portion to us so we own 1/2 the house. We have paid the property tax and general repairs for 12 years.

We had the home appraised and inspected thinking the siblings would take into account the condition of the home. They didn't and wnat their 1/4s.

Where do we stand legally since we paid all property taxes and repairs? There was no mortgage on the home and nobody claimed it on their taxes.

One of the repairs involves major structural cracks. What would a buyer off the street insist the seller fix if the house is sold as is? Would the price be effected by structural fix price in the 10ks? 20ks?

**A: if there is nothing in writing, then you were (are) merely tenants that paid the taxes and repairs.

**A: probably.

**A: the word is affected and yes that raises an issue if the repair cost is that much.
