Fiancee is buying a house

What is the name of your state? New Jersey

My fiancee is buying a brand new two family home in New Jersey (we live in New York now). I have no problems or quams moving to New Jesery. My credit is BAD.

He has filled out all the paperwork with his and his mother's name on it. His parent's home was refinanced and he has his name on the deed and on the mortgage. Now he says he needs his mother's name in order to get another mortgage for 'our' home,. Because his parent's house is in their names, this house is going down as a property investment and not as a primary.

Now my issue is that my name is not going anywhere on this house and I am concerned that if anything happens to us either we break up or he dies, I will be left with nothing and out in the cold. I will be sharing in the monthly bills but I'd like to have legal right to this house that I will be living in. Please help. Thank you.
