finders fee agreementWhat is the name of your state? Alabama I have an LLC that contracts, via finders fee agreements, with FSBO sellers to find buyer(s) for the seller's property. If my company is contracted to provide a buyer for a seller, and I, as an indivdual, become that buyer, can my company still collect the finders fee when there is also a new mortgage involved. If so, what disclosures and documents are required to make the transactions legal? |

| What does the contract you utilize to facilitate these procedures say? The legal documents are the same as other sells and purchases. Don't you think it worth a visist and perhaps even 1K (probably not that high though) with an Atty to make sure you have your ducks all in a row? Sounds like a cover to procure a commission for yourself in addition to perhaps pick up some cheap properties. You might also check into the rules and regs for doing what you are for your state. I know of at least one that requires you be licensed and have a real estate license. |
