Question

Firing a Realtor

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? MA

My husband and I are looking to buy our second house. We sold our current house much quicker than we expected and are closing at the end of this month, but are planning to rent from a friend until we find our perfect house.
Since it is our second house though, we are being extremely picky.

We have been working with our current realtor for about 2 months. We found him through a company online and were given his name because he specilized in one of the towns we were looking in. We told him from the very beginning that we were planning to be very picky and were looking for "our perfect house." Even though he has done everything we have asked, we get a lecture every time. If we don't like a house, he seems to get mad and almost tries to push us into making an offer anyways. We were considering putting in a low offer on a house that has been on the market for a long time, and is empty and he told us "we don't want to embarass ourselves" with that offer. I feel like he is only out to get his comission and doesn't really want to help us. He wants a client who is ready to put in an offer on the first house they see.

We have decided that it is best if we go with a different realtor, so we are planning to fire him. We do however like the company he works for and are wondering if it would be inappropriate to use a different realtor from his company. It is a large company and has many different offices.

Thanks for any advice.

**A: I see no problem in what you plan to do. As a courtesy, have a talk with the principal broker to give the truthful explanation.
