foreign investment

What is the name of your state? NY - Hi, i am Australian citizen that is interested in buying a home on upstate NY as there are some wonderful period houses there at very reasonable expense. my question is am i able to purchase a property in ny as i am not a citizen of the US although i would like to apply for a greencard and look at possible immigration further down the track? If so are there any restrictions, special taxes etc? Also in interim would like to rent it out are there any regulations involved in this?

Thanks in advance
Cheers!

Yep there are tons. However you can look up Landlord/ Tenant laws for New York and/or the county.

Also get a property manager because you dont want to be in Australia and have a renter not pay you, or other problems come up where you have to evict.

Might I suggest Remax or Century 21..I know they were helpful when I made property investments.

**A: the relevancy of this response has to do with your poor spelling.

**A: yes, as a mother trucker, you should be most familiar with treads and tires and trucks. And you still have huge tread marks all over you.

What a concept for you!
**A: conceptual being you are.

**A: then if not David, are you Goliath? There is no spin. There are only 2 characters. You are either one or the other.
