Forged signature on sales contract?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? florida

My dad was going to sell two lots in florida and the buyer faxed over a sale of contract to him to sign and fax back.My step mom (who is not on the deed or have power of attorney)and is on a lot of meds, for some reason thinks my dad said sign my dads name on the contract and faxed it back. My dad came home and didn't approve of the sale and called the buyer to cancel. she said if he don't close she will sue him!!!! CAN HE GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT??? AND CAN SHE DO ANYTHING?????

Are you real sure that is how it happened?

Someone who didn't know what she was signing, but knew she wasn't authorized to sign, signed her spouse's name, and used a fax machine all while under the influence of medication.

Yep. All he has to do is to file a 'Fraud Affidavit' stating under oath that he didnt' sign the documents and that the signatures were a forgery. Of course, depending on the FULL facts, the buyers might have a suit against the forger.
Have him RUN to a local attorney tomorrow.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
