forgery

Is it legal for my soon to be ex to sign my name and sell one of our homes against my will. I have contacted the county att. but he feels no crime has been committed. I have been left with nothing but a bitter taste in my mouth. I have been a stay at home mom for ten years and loved and trusted my husband now I am out in the cold and being punished for raising my children. I live in Plymouth county Iowa. I feel that the system here has serious issues against me for staying home with my children and relying on my partner for financial support while we were under the same roof. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you are on title, yes it is illegal.

Thank you for your reply to my message. Yes my name is on the title to the house. If the county att. will not do anything what other form of legal action may I take to get this cleared up. We didnt owe much on the house and would like to regain it back?

You need to hire a personal attorney.
Be sure that you did not give ex a power of attorney to sign for you.
