Get Deposit Back

What is the name of your state? CA

We signed a contract in March of 2004 for a new house in Irvine (California Pacific Homes), house will be completed early November. However, I lost my job (laid off) in June. We have put ~$25000 (deposit & upgrades) into it so far. Am I entitled to get that money back? Thank you in advance.
