Unhappy

help my realtor is trying to get me

What is the name of your state? Va
Well, we signed a contract that says we are paying XX amount (and my I add the our realtor, told us we should NOT ask for less b/c it looks bad) my husband made me put the listing price. We the signed the contract, and the folks we were buying the house signed it saying the price is good and then it went sour. Our realtor came to us again and said the person she said owned the house didn't own the house a company did.And wanted us to sign a new front sheet of the contract. But the company was the one who signed it saying the price is good, when there name wasn't it on the contract saying they owned it anywhere. It was two individual people not a company. The company won't go for less. Are we still bound to the XX amount on the orginal contract or can we just say forget the whole thing b/c the company won't go for less???
PLEASE HELP!!

You should not be obligated to the contract if in fact the listed "seller(s)" did not own the house. If there are any alterations to the contract you must be in agreement with them.

Also, remember, the realtor works for you. They must submit whatever offer you choose.
