help - reverse quit claim? What is the name of your state? CA Hello, Last Feb I bought a condo and had my husband sign a quit claim deed at the advice of our escrow officer. We thought his bad credit would hurt our mortgage rate. Can I reverse the deed and add his name back to the title? Should I? Will it affect taxes or mortgage rates now? How do I do it? thank you for your help and advice. |

| Read your loan "due on transfer clause". If ADDING him as owner will not generate a "due on transfer" exceleration of the mortgage, you and he can simply have another quit claim prepared that quit claims from you, to you and he. You need not "reverse" the one done at closing, it would be a subsequent QC. It should then be recorded.
