High Radon Results - Withdraw Offer?

Recently we put in an offer on a house, and found out days later that the radon test performed by the current owner several years ago was high (4.0), and the problem never fixed. We sent over a withdrawal letter on our offer based on the high radon test results. Unfortunately, we had already performed our own radon inspection and were waiting for the results. Now the current owner will not release us from the offer until she can see our radon results.

If our radon test results come back lower than her original test, can we still withdraw our offer based on the original higher level test results she provided us with?

**A: it depends on how your contract was written and also if the radon gas test results indicated a high unsafe level, you would have cause to cancel or request radon mitigation.
